Kittens First Visit
During your kitten’s New Patient Exam, our veterinary team will complete a full nose-to-tail health assessment and recommend the best care plan to keep your kitten healthy and protected.
Based on their age and history, your kitten’s first visit typically includes:

Comprehensive Health Exam – to ensure your kitten is growing and developing properly.

FVRCP Vaccine – protects cats from three serious and potentially deadly airborne viruses: Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR), Feline Calicivirus (C), and Feline Panleukopenia (P)

Feline Leukemia Vaccine – a virus that can lead to severe health problems including anemia, immune suppression, and cancers like lymphomas and leukemias

Rabies Vaccine – a viral infection that affects the brain and central nervous system of mammals and can be fatal if left untreated in animals and humans. Mandatory in Manitoba, and FREE at our clinic! We’re proud to be one of the few clinics that provide rabies vaccinations at no cost — helping protect your pet and our community.

Deworming – treatment for common parasites such as ear mites, tapeworms, and roundworms.

Kitten Nutrition
Proper nutrition plays a vital role in your kitten’s growth and development. Kittens require a diet rich in protein, fat, and essential nutrients to support healthy brain function, bone and joint growth, and a shiny, soft coat.
We recommend feeding a Kitten Formula diet until your cat reaches one year of age to ensure they meet all their developmental needs. Once they transition into adulthood, our team can help you choose the best Adult Feline diet to maintain long-term health and vitality.
Male cats in particular are prone to developing urinary crystals, infections, and Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease. With the right urinary health–focused diet, we can help reduce the risk of these common concerns and keep your cat comfortable and healthy for years to come.
